• Our client is a well-known government contractor with contracts supporting different cabinet departments

• Role will be largely work from home, but candidates MUST be local to the DMV area

Project Accounting Analyst

Responsibilities:

• When company wins a contract, need to collect certain metadata and hold a key cost call including stakeholders: senior managers on the call. Project Accounting Analyst will be leading the calls. Project Accounting Analyst will talk to the Senior Managers regarding what information is needed and then enter that information for the contract into Deltek Costpoint.
• Project Accounting Analyst will be assigned to 20-30 task orders (contracts): For each task order, will read and understand the contract (first priority) then schedule the kickoff call, then collect the data on the call, then enter the information into Deltek Costpoint. Then monitor the project throughout the lifecycle of the contract.
• Project Accounting Analyst will complete ad hoc tasks and projects, as requested.

Requirements:

• US Citizen required for Project Accounting Analyst
• 6 months - 1 year+ of accounting or finance professional experience
• Bachelor's Degree required (Major in accounting, finance, or business preferred)
• Previous government contracting experience is a plus but NOT required
• Previous Deltek Costpoint experience is a plus but NOT required
• Intermediate Excel skills - pivot tables or VLOOKUP's are a plus
