Responsibilities of the Payroll Lead:

  • Lead Payroll Operations: Take charge of payroll processes from start to finish, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing for our dedicated workforce.
  • Compliance Management: Stay abreast of all relevant labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance in payroll operations, including wage and hour laws specific to the agriculture sector.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with HR and finance teams to streamline processes, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices for payroll management.
  • Data Integrity: Maintain and update employee records, deductions, and timekeeping systems to uphold data accuracy and integrity.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate payroll reports and perform analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Problem Resolution: Address payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies promptly and effectively, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
  • Training and Development: Provide guidance and training to payroll team members to enhance their skills and ensure consistent adherence to payroll policies and procedures.

Requirements for the Payroll Lead:

  • Proven Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll administration, preferably in an agriculture or related industry.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in payroll software and MS Office suite, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with employees and stakeholders at all levels.
