Senior Accounting Consultant
About the Organization & Opportunity:
- Our client is a well-established government contractor founded in the 1970's
- Our client mainly has US Government contracts and the majority of those contracts are USAID. Organization also does some assistance with public/private businesses.

Senior Accounting Consultant
Responsibilities:
- Senior Accounting Consultant will assist with Project Financial reporting
- Senior Accounting Consultant will bill expenses on deliverables
- Senior Accounting Consultant must understand grants cooperative agreements and cost+ type agreements
- Senior Accounting will be responsible for billing
- Senior Accounting Consultant will set up projects in Deltek Costpoint
- Senior Accounting Consultant will act as a liaison with project management teams on internal and external reporting
- Senior Accounting Consultant will review budgets, revenue recognitions, categorization of expenses
- Senior Accounting Consultant will complete reporting for grants cooperative agreements and contracts
- Senior Accounting Consultant will complete ad hoc tasks and projects, as requested
Requirements:
- 2+ years' experience at Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager level
- USAID experience preferred. If no USAID, MUST know project financial reporting and have some international experience
- Deltek Costpoint experience preferred - projects module, billing module (international project reporting)
- Note: If someone has USAID project billing and international experience, willing to train on Deltek Costpoint
- Government FAR experience is a must
- 2 CFR Part 200 experience is a plus
- Excel - pivot tables, VLOOKUP's
Personality Fit:
- Experienced and able to hit the ground running in this type of role
- Comfortable interacting with people of all levels - will be communicating regarding bills, reports, etc. Senior Accounting Consultant will be interacting with Project Managers and some regional and field office staff
