Accounting Manager

Creative Financial Staffing New Carrollton, MD (Onsite) Full-Time
$90,000 - $110,000/Year

Our client, a leading marketing agency operating on a national scale, is actively seeking an eager and motivated Accounting Manager to join their dynamic team! As an Accounting Manager, you will play a key role in the strategy and the long-term financial security of the organization.

Accounting Manager Responsibilities:

  • Assist in building, supervising, and training a proficient team within the Accounting Department to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor, manage, and actively participate in day-to-day Accounting Department operations, ensuring adherence to financial deadlines.
  • Provide comprehensive training to staff to address the evolving needs of the organization.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports, encompassing all Balance Sheet schedules, and promptly resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain oversight of the good standing of enterprise companies.
  • Engage in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling to support senior company leadership.
  • Review and verify project costs and margins, contributing to the development of pricing structures.
  • Support project analysis, validate plans, and address ad-hoc requests efficiently.
  • Oversee the company's financial accounting systems, monitoring their performance and accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in audits as required, providing necessary support and documentation.

Accounting Manager Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting (Master's preferred or equivalent work experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, with a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
  • Experience with NetSuite.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, etc.
  • Experience in marketing or agency industries = a plus.
  • Self-starter with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Team player to collaborate within the organization.
