Product Manager - Commercial Lending (nCino)

Amerant Bank Coral Gables, FL (Onsite) Full-Time

The Product Manager, Commercial Lending will work on and with various teams to orchestrate and improve nCino capabilities across its commercial lending module. Ensure viability of the product, and the data that resides within it. Work with other members of the Digital Transformation team, and stakeholders across the organization to curate roadmaps and drive adoption. Help define product vision and carry out the execution of the plans. Configure the system and work with delivery teams to ensure new capabilities are built. This role requires a person who is highly organized, proactive, with excellent communication skills, and has the ability to understand processes and procedures across the bank. This role will coordinate and manage cross-functional digital projects including helping coordinate project tasks, create content to drive change, setup processes and procedures to optimize project and approach methodologies for the digital strategy team. This team will be a liaison with our external vendors for managing procedures and protocols. Aid day-to-day activities within digital strategy teams to help coordinate cross-collaboration and manage stakeholders. This position will work various teams to define, prioritize, and execute the nCino Commercial Loan Origination system roadmap. Create PowerPoints and gather KPIs to track progress across projects and present them. Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather business requirements, utilize data insights, share relevant technology trends, and define digital solutions. This will include understanding the process, people, technology, and data required to execute. Partner with change management leadership to implement change management and user adoption strategy and metrics; ensure colleagues have training and access to information to optimally integrate CRM / Salesforce best practices into their workflow. Build and track overall platform adoption KPIs and socialize with leadership. Understand data exchange patterns and data quality impacts related to nCino changes or enhancements. Ensure downstream systems and processes are not negatively impacted. Stays up to date on emerging technology trends for nCino and Salesforce. Monitors and improves third-party integration points to nCino and Salesforce. Helps develop, maintain and prioritize nCino, and Salesforce product backlog. Partner with solution architects and other technical leads to ensure their solutions effectively address program priorities while balancing client experience and technical integrity. Facilitate sprint planning with stakeholder groups to drive alignment and visibility for which features will be built when, and to ensure overall adherence to the product roadmap and enterprise strategic themes.


Responsibilities:

Additional Management

  • Provide end-to-end project management for assigned projects
  • Scope project requirements and prepare budgets
  • Develop a detailed project plan and monitor progress
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design, develop and implement digital projects
  • Source and engage project vendors (draft RFPs, vendor management, contracts, etc.)
  • Liaising with relevant users, stakeholders, writers, vendors, and consultants for the duration of the project
  • Deliver projects on time ensuring quality standards are met
  • Develop support documentation and requirement specifications
  • Effectively drive, manage, implement and track one or more complex portfolios of deliverables, features and capabilities as well as 'test and learn'/experimentation targeted at defining/refining future deliverables, measuring performance, automating across life cycles, and adjusting the overall roadmap of deliverables as needed
  • Support the prioritization of interdependent team technology backlogs, addressing risks and dependencies to defined outcomes and ensuring overall alignment with technology and business strategy; Make trade-off decisions to balance quality, cost, and timelines to maximize value; utilize and adhere to technology standards
  • Identify innovative solutions both internally and in the external marketplace; ensure competitive and industry benchmarking of critical technical knowledge and capabilities
  • Lead positive team dynamics, encourage collaboration and drive appropriate levels of self-organization; Assess, utilize, and partner with external resources and partners to meet agreed upon expectations, as needed
  • Manage multi-team dynamics; remove impediments to teams’ success and assist in conflict resolution, issue and dependency management; collaborate with other team members and neighbors to improve team velocity
  • Build and foster collaborative relationships across other team members across lines of businesses, as well as key internal and external partners
  • Help grow agile maturity within and across teams
  • Help facilitate the creation and delivery of the GTM vision, strategy, and roadmap
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Design, document, build, test, and deploy enhancements to nCino custom objects, page layouts, workflows, alerts, reports, and complex dashboards as needed by end users
  • Create and manage custom objects, fields, formulas, validation rules, custom workflow, and approval processes
  • Serve as the internal Subject Matter Expert on nCino/Salesforce.com and its uses within the banking industry
  • Maintain user roles and profiles, security settings, access settings etc.
  • Monitor user adoption and respond as needed to improve adoption rates through additional training, communication, system modification or other resources in conjunction with the nCino Business Systems Analyst
  • Reporting needs; design and maintain necessary reports, dashboards and associated documentation

Minimum Education and/or Certifications Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree – Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, or equivalent field
  • Proficient and proven experience with:
    1. Project management principles
    2. Leading multiple projects and teams
    3. Analytical, problem solving, critical thinking, organization, and time management skills
    4. Building effective partnerships with a broad range of stakeholders
    5. Organizational skills, prioritization skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
    6. Written and verbal communication skills
    7. Confidently interface with all levels of staff including executives, managers, front and back office, in addition to other internal and external parties as needed.

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

  • 3+ years working with nCino Commercial Lending
  • 2+ years working with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud
  • 3-5 years working in the banking industry or consulting for banks

  • Knowledge:
    1. Project management, organizational: MS Project, MS Visio, SharePoint and Teamwork, Jira, or similar
  • Desirable:
    1. Experience with analytic techniques, statistical modeling, and SQL
