Project Accountant

PROJECT ACCOUNTANT
SALARY: $60-75K

Primary Responsibilities of the Project Accountant:

• Work closely with the project managers throughout the life of the project, ensuring financially and administratively accuracy reflected in monthly invoicing based on contract requirements
• Set up billings and close out projects
• Coordinate consultant invoices and payments in accordance with agreements
• Maintain contract files within guidelines and perform contract file audits
• Ensure project costs are recorded properly; prepare project labor and expense adjustments when needed
• Review and processing of project budgets, vendor proposals, change orders, and invoices within financial system
• Respond to inquiries from clients, consultants, and team members in a professional, efficient, and timely manner
• Assist at month end and year end with reports and reconciliations

Preferred Qualifications of the Project Accountant:

• Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance
• Strong computer and system skills, including advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Exceptional planning and organizational skills
• Construction, design, or project cost experience is a plus
