Our client is a dynamic and rapidly growing apparel company that has established itself as an industry leader in fashion and design. With a strong commitment to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction, our client has experienced tremendous success and is poised for continued growth and expansion. To support their finance team, they are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Accountant to join their ranks.
As a Senior Accountant at our client's company, you will play a critical role in maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing valuable insights to support the company's strategic decisions. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data while actively participating in process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Oversee and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Analyze financial data and trends to identify opportunities for cost control and process improvement.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and company policies.
- Contribute to ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as needed.
- Assist in completion of accounts payable and receivable functions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to convey financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
