Staff Accountant
Our client, located in Mahopac, NY, is a prominent player in the Real Estate space! Teaming up with CFS, they're seeking a Staff Accountant to bolster their dynamic accounting and operations team.
Take charge of day-to-day tasks, overseeing payroll and accounts payable functions. Work closely with sales and operations to optimize procedures as we grow. This is a highly visible role, offering direct engagement with the leadership team. If you're detail-oriented, organized, and thrive in a fast-growing environment, this is the role for you!
Responsibilities include:
Assisting with daily accounting operations, including:
- Month and year-end closing
- Accounts payable/receivable
- Cash handling
- Payroll
- Expense reconciliation
- Executing check runs
We're seeking candidates with:
- At least one year of proven accounting experience, particularly in general ledger tasks.
- Proficiency in accounting software, preferably QuickBooks Desktop Familiarity with MS Excel or Google Sheets.
- A solid grasp of accounting principles
- Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
