Wealth Management Operations Specialist I

The Wealth Management Operations Specialist I is primarily responsible for providing operational support to the banks affiliated broker dealer and trust companies. The Operations Specialist I provides exceptional customer service to the Wealth Management departments.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Open new brokerage and advisory accounts. Review investment account documentation for required information and ensure full on-boarding process, including the transfer of assets from other broker dealers.
  • Review and process account opening documentation for new bank accounts and Certificate of Deposits for the Trust Company.
  • Image and index all necessary documents to electronically store permanent images of account opening documents while striving to create a paperless environment.
  • Process asset movement requests inside of their pre-established SLA times within a quality controlled process environment.
  • Process securities transfer in a timely manner following industry best practices. Transfers can include but are not limited to incoming/outgoing ACAT, delivery/receive of securities free of payment which include DTC, Government, Mutual Fund, International transfers, DRS and/or DWAC transfers.
  • Process additions, distributions, internal transfers as well as payment of invoices for the Trust Company
  • Perform account maintenance to investment and trust accounts.
  • Provide support reviewing and approving requests initiated by other team members.
  • Supports the Wealth Management Operations team with tasks related to the administration of the Trust Accounting application.
  • Provide support reviewing and approving requests initiated by other team members.
  • Liaison for the front office between Pershing, counter parties and internal departments on all pertaining matters.
  • Provide superior customer service to the Wealth Management business units we serve.
  • Ensure strict confidentiality of client, firm and employee information.
  • Manage office supplies for Wealth Management Operations Area.
  • Process document bank storage.
  • Participate in monthly process review meetings by presenting assigned procedure(s) for the month.

Functional Skills & Knowledge Requirements:


• Must be a team player, have the ability to work under pressure and be able to resolve problems and conflicts.

• Must possess basic analytical, business communication and customer service skills.

• Must be able to communicate with management and others.

• Must be able to handle multiple tasks and aggressive deadlines.

• Fully bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Minimum Education and/or Certifications Requirements:


• Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, business administration or engineering required.

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:


• Minimum one year of relevant experience processing back and middle office requests in Wealth Management, Broker Dealer, or Trust Operations.

Technical and/or Other Essential Knowledge:


• Basic investments and securities knowledge.

• Previous experience with MS Office Skills, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.

Working Conditions:


• Physical Demands: Walking to meetings, sitting for long periods of time, and long exposure to glare coming from a computer screen.

• Stressors: Shifting of priorities, imposed timelines, meet business demands and expectations with limited and shared resources.
