The Vice President, Investment Underwriting is responsible for duties of alternative assets investment underwriting, including overseeing a team supporting the investment underwriting of the firm. Essential Functions ? Responsible for the work of, and provide coaching to, Investments Underwriting Vice Presidents and Associates, especially on the quantitative and analytical assessments done by Vice Presidents and Associates in support of potential new investments ? Participate in the investment process, including: investment screening, financial modeling, due diligence, creating and delivering investment committee presentations, industry research, financial and portfolio monitoring/management ? Oversee relevant financial analyses to enable and support investment decision making, including discounted cash flow, pricing analysis, comparables to other alternative assets in the same sector and vintage years, and statistical models and projections ? Give quantitative and analytical support to monitor existing alternative asset investments ? Track and manage pipeline of new potential investments ? Update fund model, tracking capital deployed, distributions received, changes in underlying NAV and reserves available for new investments Knowledge and Competencies ? MBA or equivalent degree and / or CFA preferred ? Over 8+ years of industry experience in fields such as investment banking, leveraged finance and/or large investors (pension funds, large family offices, large registered investment advisors) ? At least 4 years of prior investment experience investing in alternative assets (private equity funds, fundof-funds, venture capital, co-investments and/or secondary investments) across multiple strategies and geographies ? Demonstrated experience and capability in managing less experienced investment professionals ? Proven ability to drive multiple investment decisions in a time critical, transaction-oriented environment ? Proven experience though transaction lifecycle including thesis development, sourcing, due diligence, transaction lead, execution of investment, exit, portfolio execution including monitoring and evaluation ?
