Well respected and award winning international wine company is looking for a VP of Finance who is bilingual in English & Spanish. In this newly created role, you will be responsible for all U.S. accounting and finance activities, reporting to the foreign parent company. This position will lead a team of 20 staff, including the Controller, Director of Sales/Business Analysis, and three Finance Managers with indirect oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost accounting, treasury, sales analysis, and FP&A. The VP of Finance will own the majority of the financial reporting and act as liaison to the CEO and CFO at the parent company's office. Responsibilities: Financial Leadership, Management, Strategy, and Planning • Act as primary financial strategist and strategic partner to senior executive leadership team, with accountability and consistently excellent performance. • Define and deliver on all objectives and targets set for the business, with excellence and effectiveness. • Assess and evaluate financial performance including long-term operational goals, setting pricing goals and targets, evaluate entry opportunities for new markets, and oversee all budgeting and forecasting activities. • Manage and lead within the business with a sense of urgency, focus, and reliability. • Oversee and manage the treasury function of the business. • Provide insight and recommendations to both short-term and long-term growth plan. • Demonstrate a proficiency for evaluating the return-on-investment, cost variable, and other dimensions of the financial opportunities or risks in proposed new projects. • Communicate, engage and interact with Board of Directors, CEO, COO, Executive Leadership Team and corporate finance team. • Create and establish yearly financial objectives that align with the company’s plan for growth and market penetration, while driving performance management and enabling colleagues to do so as well. • Lead, recruit, interview and hire finance, treasury, accounting and payroll staff as required. • Implement policies, procedures and processes as deemed appropriate by senior leadership team. • Coordinate and align practices, processes and reporting with the corporate office definitions. • Keep updated and perform all corporate internal audit requests. Financial Analysis, Budgeting and Forecasting • Prepare and present monthly financial budgeting reports to Executive Leadership and corporate offices, including monthly profit and loss, forecast vs. budget and cash flow. • Review and analyze monthly financial results and provide recommendations. • Develop and maintain monthly operating budget and annual company operating budget. • Manage financial planning and analysis department. Supervise creation of reports, software implementation and tools for budgeting and forecasting. • Benchmark operations with the corporate offices, looking for better practices, processes and supplies. • Supervise the Sales operations & Business analysis team, assuring the fulfillment of pricing request and approval process. Guarantee compliance of pricing guidelines and commercial expense budgets.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. BS degree is required. • CPA Required • Fluent in Spanish. • 6 years minimum experience as a VP - FINANCE in a large private sector organization. • 15+ years total accounting or finance experience • Outstanding knowledge and understanding of GAAP, IFRS, SOX compliance and SEC reporting. • Fluent in Spanish and English required • Background coordinating with I.T. staff to manage and/or upgrade accounting system. Systems implementation experience strongly preferred. • “Hands On” ERP Systems Experience – SAP experience preferred • Outstanding communication and presentation skills. • Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence and executive presence – ability to motivate staff. • Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills • Significant experience working with external auditors, internal controls and compliance-related issues. • Experience and success leading and managing in an international business context.
