VP of Finance (Salary up to $130K + Bonus)

Description

The VP of Finance plays a vital role in the success of the company by providing Financial and Managerial Leadership to the organization. The VP of Finance partners with the Executive Team on all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs, and the securing of new funding. Various HR management functions will be assigned to the VP of Finance to oversee and insure proper processing.





RESPONSIBILITIES



Finance Responsibilities


  • Develop and analyze information to assess the current and future financial status

  • Provide recommendations on actions to take based on various analyses

  • Oversee and optimize cash flow

  • Prepare and review detailed budgets and financial forecasts

  • Produce and review progress against monthly and annual forecasts on a regular basis

  • Ensure management is aware of budgets and overages; work with “C” level employees and their direct reports to resolve any related issues

  • Prepare reports and present to the executive team on financial health of the organization

  • Oversee all monthly and year-end closings and quarterly tax documentation

  • Maintain appropriate business insurance to mitigate business risks

  • Evaluate existing finance processes to determine if any efficiency improvements are required

  • Facilitate regular Finance Department team meetings


Management Responsibilities for Finance Department:


  • Manage and support Finance Manager on day-to-day responsibilities (accounts receivable, payables, invoices and reconciliations)

  • Provide direction and support to the Finance Manager through weekly one on one meetings

  • Safeguard, control and account for all Company assets through a tagging and physical inventory system

  • Mentor Finance Manager on professional development goals


HR Responsibilities


  • Oversee payroll

  • Manage benefits and insurance claims processing

  • Manage suite of benefits (401k, unemployment, medical, etc.) insuring optimal benefits to employees

  • Respond to inquiries from employees as to status and availability of benefits

  • Prepare and monitor HR and Financial policies as represented in the employee handbook


Education & Experience

  • Strong background and work experience in finance, minimum of 
    5 - 10 years required

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field, such as finance or accounting
