Mike Cox of Robert Half, Finance & Accounting is currently supporting a globally recognized Los Angeles based government services company with their recruitment of a Strategy and Finance Manager.

The Strategy and Finance Manager will support the Chief Information Officer and support the Strategy and Operations Division of the Information Services Department.

The Strategy and Finance Manager will provide leadership and management for the Department. They will also oversee capital and operational budgeting, departmental administration, project management, and strategic planning. 

The Strategy and Finance Manager will perform a variety of complex personnel, financial, administrative and managerial functions in a large complex department.

To be successful you will be able to provide direct support to the department head and division managers. Supervises and coordinates the work of professional and clerical support staff.

This broad list of responsibilities will be tailored in order to reflect the skills and talents of the incoming candidates.

You will serve as a liaison with divisional staff and the Finance Department regarding the Department's personnel related budgetary issues while ensuring departmental compliance with rules and regulations and related administrative guidelines.

You will be technically literate in technology, operations, finance – budgeting and project management as well as being an effective team leader.

To be considered you must have a Bachelor’s Degree ideally in Finance, Public Administration, Economics, Business, Human Resources, or a closely related field. A Master's degree in a closely related field is highly desirable.

You will have at least 5 years experience within a government, education or Public services sector and have performed financial management and analysis, budget preparation and administration of projects and programs.

At least two years of recent experience must have included management/supervisory experience.
