If you're looking to take your career into the Professional Services industry, there is a terrific full-time position available for an experienced Staff Accountant at Robert Half Finance. The Staff Accountant will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. You will also be responsible for various aspects of internal reporting throughout the monthly close. You will assist in developing and implementing accounting policies. Also, you will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This position is very involved as it will produce Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. This Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina area-based position is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity to work for a company that recognizes and rewards hard work. How you will make an impact - Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation - Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP - Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments - Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations - Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested - Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation - Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision - Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner - Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting - Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll - Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries - Participate in various department-wide initiatives - Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks

Requirements

- Recent and relevant accounting experience - BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics - Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills - Exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills - Strong attention to detail - Experience with multi-state payroll - Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel - General ledger experience - Knowledge of payroll for over 500 employees - Strong familiarity with payroll taxes - Proficient with spreadsheets and databases - Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment - Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision - Ability to meet deadlines - Competent with spreadsheets and databases - Current and relevant ERP system experience Email for details: [Click Here to Email Your Resumé]
