This Staff Accountant role's duties will require preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. This role is for someone who wants to perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. What you get to do every day - Manage depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation - Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested - Survey and organize various financial data, reporting it in a useful and understandable manner - Maintain intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation - Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations - Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation - Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules - Assemble journal entries and thorough account reconciliations that include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll - Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives - Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries - Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on - Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP - Produce journal entries and perform the month end close under minimal supervision

Requirements

- Recent and relevant accounting experience - Accounts Payable (AP) experience preferred - Accounts Receivable (AR) experience - Knowledge of Manage Vendor Relationships - Journal entries experience desired - Account reconciliation experience - Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills - Excellent attention to detail - Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus - BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics - Proficient in ERP systems - Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities - Spreadsheet and database capabilities - Candidate must possess first-rate analytical, quantitative and social skills - Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases - Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
