Sr Financial Analyst

Senior Financial AnalystReporting to the Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis Technology, the Sr. Financial Analyst– Technology, Financial Planning & Analysis will fill a key role on Asurion’s Technology FP&A team.  This position will have the primary responsibility to lead financial planning, drive financial performance and act as an internal consultant for the technology organization.  This role will works closely with Sr. Technology Management to support wide range of analysis, including financial planning, development of the technology annual/monthly/quarterly plans, variance analysis, identification of value creation / investment opportunities, financial management, business case analysis, business scenario modeling, and other analytical requests and projects. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\:•Partners with and supports Senior IT management•Develop annual plan for technology, including financial projections, operational and strategic initiatives, capital allocation, value drivers and levers, etc.•Manage multiple data sources and maintain integrity of plan data in Excel and/or Hyperion Planning•Support short-term and long-range financial planning, forecasting, analytics, and reporting of actuals versus forecast at a detailed level•Drive quality analytics for IT organization•Identify efficiency opportunities and measure the results of cost improvement efforts•Adhoc financial analysis, modeling and benchmarkingQUALIFICATIONS\:This position is responsible for monthly analysis, quarterly forecast & AOP for non-labor expenses for the IT organization, as well as driving cost reduction in this area.The ideal candidate will have\:•Experience as a strategic thinker with the proven ability to communicate new concepts effectively to implement new ideas smoothly.•Proven analytical experience, including the ability to think independently and drive projects to a thorough conclusion.•Operational finance experience, accounting understanding, working with operations personnel responsible for making purchasing decisions.•Strong financial controls experience.•Strong experience with Excel.•Strong data presentation and PowerPoint skills.•Superior analytical and financial modeling skills.•Experience working in a fast-paced, growing, global organization.•Experience in the wireless, high tech and/or manufacturing industry helpful.•Experience consolidating financial reports from multiple GL systems.•BA in Finance or Accounting required.•A self-directed individual with a strong ability to manage ambiguity and adapts readily and easily to changes in priorities and business conditions.•An individual that is self-confident, competent, high energy, outgoing and independent with a straight forward personality.•Comfortable working with very sensitive data and can maintain a high degree of discretion.•Fits will in an environment that rewards bright, self-starting, energetic, and action-oriented managers with increasing responsibility and challenge. â€¢Professional and personal integrity beyond reproach.
