Senior Financial Analyst Are you a strong Financial Analyst who enjoys the manufacturing environment? Our client, a growing manufacturer and distributor, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for their plant in the greater Grand Rapids area on the south side of town. This Senior Financial Analyst role will give you the opportunity to become an integral part of the team, which will allow strategic input to the senior leadership of the company. The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for the coordination of various planning cycles (monthly outlooks, annual planning, and quarterly forecasts), while providing strategic analyses and recommendations. You will ensure variance analysis of bookings, revenues and expenses, clearly explaining the business reasons for variances and adjusting the outlook models to reflect operational adjustments. Your responsibilities - Let effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support - Log monthly and quarterly performance through comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resources - Comprehend and clarify internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending - Present monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required - Manage weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P&L forecasting - Review performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities - Cooperate closely with cross functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans - Construct and keep an eye on forecasting reports - Cooperate with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process

Requirements

Your Requirements - Strong business acumen. - Ability to work independently and think outside the box. - Own the KPI tracking and deliver on performance results. - Identify trends and report findings to management team. - Profit analysis - Take ownership of the full budget process, including but not limited to annual budget reporting, budget to actual and forecasting. - Strong analytical skill utilizing Excel with Pivot Tables, Vlookups, etc. - Develop internal controls for continuous growth of the organization. - AD Hoc financial analysis for Sr. Leadership Team. - 4 or more years of experience - Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting or Finance preference to candidates with a Master's Degree, CPA, or CMA
