Senior Financial Analyst External Reporting Senior Financial Analysts in need of employment will be happy to learn that Robert Half Finance & Accounting is currently recruiting for one of their clients. Conduct the development of forecast processes to ensure resources are leveraged with maximum effectiveness, build long-range operating plans to support business initiatives, and drive world class strategic and financial planning methods, in this Senior Financial Analyst opportunity. The Senior Financial Analyst will be key in operationilizing and cultivating data-driven planning processes and improving upon monthly and quarterly reporting. Make a difference as a Senior Financial Analyst in a pivotal role, which gives you the opportunity to directly work with senior leadership of the company and contribute a strategic input. The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for the coordination of various planning cycles (monthly outlooks, annual planning, and quarterly forecasts), while providing strategic analyses and recommendations. You will manage variance analysis of bookings, revenues and expenses, clearly explaining the business reasons for variances and adjusting the outlook models to reflect operational adjustments. For immediate consideration, please reach out to David Sehoyan at 248-205-5580 ext 48122 or email [Click Here to Email Your Resumé] What you get to do every day -Prepare SEC filings, including XBRL tagging, and ensure all information is reported accurately and in compliance with U.S. GAAP. -Perform technical research for one-time transactions to determine the appropriate accounting under U.S. GAAP as well as the impact on SEC filings. -Review the monthly consolidation to ensure intercompany balances are eliminated and follow-up with global plant locations as necessary. -Work with locations on one-time items impacting the consolidation to ensure it is appropriately reflected in HFM (e.g., closing of a location). -Record consolidating journal entries within HFM on a monthly basis. -Assist in various projects including internal accounting policy updates and preparation of ad-hoc reports. -Manage and coach intern through month-end close, governmental reporting and ad hoc projects.

Requirements

- Ability to simplify complex problems and build solutions - Experienced with financial reporting tools - Bachelor's Degree in Finance, MBA preferred - Microsoft Excel experience desired - 5+ years experience with advanced financial analysis, planning and budget controls required - Top-notch presentation skills -CPA required -SEC reporting experience required -Experience in HFM and SAP preferred -Excellent verbal and written communication skills -Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills and the ability to question unusual activity reported by operations -Must be able to work in a fast-pace team environment -Highly driven / self-starter
