Robert Half Finance Accounting is looking for a strong analytical Senior Financial Analyst to join a stable, reputable organization in the Inland Empire. The Senior Financial Analyst is directly responsible for budgeting, forecasting, compiling and analyzing financial results as assigned by the Director, Financial Planning Analysis. This position is also responsible for various ad hoc financial analyses. The position works directly with Senior Finance and Administrative leadership. The Senior Financial Analyst supports business decision and strategy initiatives by preparing forecast and profitability analyses, compiling and analyzing financial or operational data, developing departmental budgets and variance analyses, and assists in overall controlling activities. Duties - Develop budget/forecast data models for projecting membership, estimating revenue and cost of expense categories, and calculating administrative costs. - Compile annual budget book and narratives for approval by senior staff and governing bodies. - Assist individual cost centers in developing the budget. - Timely development of a manageable and reasonable budget. - Create, analyze, and disseminate variance reports to aid Senior Management with decision making. - Support Division Chiefs and Directors on monitoring departmental spending and actual vs. budget variance analysis. - Actively participate and lead assigned areas for the development of the budget, monthly and quarterly financial review, and long-range financial forecast based on expected operations and business conditions. - Perform complex financial analysis of specific capital and extraordinary projects and make recommendations to management. - Serve as a Finance liaison with other departments. - Prepare and present staff reports and other necessary documents. - Support and act as consultant to other departments and managers. - Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

- BA/BS degree from a top-tier university with strong academic performance - Must have strong financial reporting foundation, strong analytical (quantitative as well as qualitative) skills, including data mining, multi-source data collection/manipulation, and model building - Ability to streamline and automate processes while maintaining quality, accuracy, and relevance - Highly efficient self-starter, driven to succeed, persistent and adept in using metrics to drive performance - Detail-oriented, highly motivated, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously - Outstanding communications skills in both written and verbal expression - Strong organizational and analytical skills - Extensive experience working with raw data sets with Microsoft Excel - Patience and ability to excel under pressure, handling multiple requests often with tight deadlines - The ability to present and communicate work effectively to key constituents - Solution driven and flexible in his/her interpersonal style - 4 to 7 years of work experience, ideally in revenue analysis, finance/FP A - Experience in determining revenue recognition; contract analysis and familiarity with income statements; helps efforts in gathering support needed to recognize revenue - Strategic breakthrough thinking and creative problem solving skills, showing an ability to overcome obstacles - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Robert Half Finance Accounting, the world's leader in specialized financial staffing, provides exciting full-time opportunities in the areas of accounting, bookkeeping, finance, audit, taxation and more.
