Robert Half Finance & Accounting is currently recruiting a Senior Financial Analyst for our Healthcare, Hospitals, Social Assistance client. The Senior Financial Analyst will oversee the advancement of long-range operating plans to support business initiatives, drive world class strategic and financial planning methods, and develop rolling forecast processes to ensure resources are leveraged with maximum effectiveness. This position is directly responsible for operationalizing and cultivating data-driven planning processes and improving upon monthly and quarterly reporting. If you're a Senior Financial Analyst seeking a pivotal role, which will allow strategic input to the senior leadership of the company, this position is for you! Prior experience in coordinating various planning cycles (annual planning, quarterly forecasts and monthly outlooks), while providing strategic analyses and recommendations, will be crucial to the success of this role. You will give explanations for business reasons for variances and adjusting the outlook models to reflect operational adjustments, as well as, provide variance analysis of bookings, revenues and expenses. This full-time employment opportunity is based in the El Segundo, California area. Your responsibilities in this role - Present monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required - You will be closely collaborating with cross functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans - Collaborate with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process - Let effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support - Decipher and resolve internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending - Review performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities - Keep an eye on monthly and quarterly performance through comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resources - Lead weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P&L forecasting - Accumulate and regulate forecasting reports - Merge with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation and prioritization For confidential consideration, please email your resume in MS Word format to David Bizub at [Click Here to Email Your Resumé] or call David at 310.719.1400. - Prior knowledge in financial reporting tools - Deep understanding of Develop Financial Models - Demonstrated knowledge of Operational Budgets - Managing Budgets experience highly desired - General familiarity with Prepare Budgets - Adeptness in Monthly Budget - Command of Complex Financial Analysis - Annual Operating Budget experience highly preferred - Practical knowledge of Annual Budget - Financial analysis experience desired - Foundational knowledge in External Financial Reports - Bachelor's Degree in Finance, MBA preferred - 3+ years experience with advanced financial analysis, planning and budget controls required - Ingenuity to simplify complex problems and build solutions - Exquisite presentation skills
