Our large stable and growing global client is searching for a motivated CPA to fill their open Senior Financial Analyst position in South West Charlotte!

Senior Financial Analyst


Direct Hire Opportunity
Salary: $85-90K (No bonus)
Hours: Flexible


Summary:


The Senior Analyst will assist in researching and providing guidance of technical accounting matters. They will act as a resource to internal stakeholders regarding technical accounting policy and compliance issues. The Senior Analyst will also be responsible for the valuation of assets related to acquisitions and divestitures. This position reports to the Director of Accounting Policy.


Responsibilities:

  • Research accounting standards and issue memos on new accounting treatment and policies
  • Maintain the technical accounting database
  • Provide guidance and assistance in the proper recording of acquisitions and divestitures including assets acquired and liabilities assumed/divested
  • Calculate fair value of acquired intangible assets
  • Liaise with public accounting firm to develop valuation workbooks
  • Responsible for assisting in researching and addressing questions related to unique contracts and transactions
  • Interact with external auditors to ensure any technical accounting issues are appropriately addressed
  • Create and present presentations to high-level executives
  • Perform special projects, as assigned
  • Utilize SAP, Excel, and Essbase daily


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • CPA required
  • 3+ years of public accounting audit OR valuation services / transaction advisory experience
  • M&A experience
  • Knowledge of IFRS and / or US GAAP
  • Ability to work with Senior Accounting Management across multiple sectors
  • Ability to work independently and possess strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast paced deadline driven environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
