RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT:


  • Support all aspects of finance activities including assisting with month and year end close, monthly account reconciliations, and process improvements

  • Have a proactive approach to problem solve and commitment to achieve deadlines and produce accurate information

  • Effectively work in a team environment and establish open lines of communication

  • Ownership of fixed asset process from adding assets to the system to driving the budget process

  • Perform oversight for the banking system

  • Effectively work in general ledger and prepared journal entries



Requirements


EXPERIENCE PREFERRED FOR THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT ROLE:

   


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting

  • Minimum of 5 years related business experience

  • CPA preferred but not required

  • Retail or family owned business experience preferred but not required

  • Solid understanding of accounting processes and procedures

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with advanced working knowledge of Excel

  • Ability to work efficiently independently as well as part of a team

  • Proficiency with accounting software systems, a plus
