Direct Hire at $60,000
As a Senior Accountant at the company, you will use your expertise in professional services and accounting principles to support the day to day tasks of the accounting and billing department. This position reports to the Senior Director of Finance and Operations and works collaboratively with clients, consultants, and all support staff.
Perform daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense reports and reimbursements, payroll, and financial reporting.
Administer all benefit plans enrollment and coordination.
Cash management and reconciliation.
Work in collaboration with Senior Billing Specialist.
Produce timely, accurate financial statements and other reports as required.
Comply with company policies and management of risk by adhering to professional services standards and GAAP.
Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and provide the Senior Director, Finance and Operations with insights related to significant transactions affecting the financial statements.
Assist as needed with company financial planning and budget management.
Help maintain and update the firm?s sales commission spreadsheet.
Assist as required with tax planning and compliance with local, state, federal, and international reporting requirements.
Consistently provide excellent service to principals, consultants, staff, and clients and observe strict confidentiality in all firm matters, client matters, and financial measures.
Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Standard business hours apply, with weekend and evening hours required when deadlines need to be met.
Education and Experience:
Associate/2 year degree in finance or accounting required, Bachelor's/4 year degree in finance or accounting preferred.
7-10 years of experience required.
Experience within professional services industries preferred. (candidates from law firms do well here)
Skills and Abilities:
In-depth knowledge and understanding of GAAP, accounting operations, financial reporting and analysis, internal controls and audit.
Strong understanding of MS Office suite including advanced Excel skills required; project-based accounting software experience highly preferred.
Experience with Deltek Vision preferred, but not required.
Excellent judgment in working with clients, other employees, and in representing the Firm.
Strong individual initiative.
Logical thought process, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints.
Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate and follow instructions from a diverse group of clients, partners, associates, and staff and provide information with courtesy and tact.
Ability to work flexible hours in addition to normal business hours.
