We are an industry leader with an immediate need for a Program Finance Specialist experienced in financial support and management of government contracts, ideally in the defense sector. This is a direct hire, permanent job located in Norfolk, VA. At this time, only candidates within a 1-hour commute of Norfolk are being considered. Due to the nature of our work, all candidates MUST be US Citizens.

In this role you will work with multiple types of contracts (CP, T&M, FP). You will work on multiple programs and help them financial targets as well as drive cash flow.

Responsibilities:

• Work with program management and program teams to report the financial status of programs.


• Develop and recommend action plans to ensure that financial goals and program targets are achieved.


• Prepare monthly, quarterly and ad hoc financial reports on programs.


• Prepare financial analysis for audits and other financial activities as needed.

Requirements:

• BS Degree in Accounting or Finance and 5 years experience as a Program Financial Analyst, or MS and 3 years experience. Experience supporting government programs and contracts required. Experience supporting DoD/defense programs highly preferred.


• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, vlookups, etc.


• Experience with financial reporting software such as Hyperion is a plus.


• Experience with financial ERP packages such as Deltek CostPoint is a plus.


• Experience with multiple contract types (Fixed Price, Time & Materials, etc) is a plus.
