We have an Assistant Payroll Manager opportunity with a business solutions and consulting industry leader that you might be interested in. The ideal Assistant Payroll Manager position being filled through Robert Half Finance and Accounting. We are looking for Assistant Payroll Manager or Senior Payroll Specialist candidates who can processes 800+ employees (1200k and growing company) as well as deliver strong internal customer service, while working in a high volume, deadline-driven environment with the ability to communicate effectively with leadership. You will contribute to the timely and accurate payroll production for employees as the Assistant Payroll Manager, while working alongside a Payroll Manager in a two-person team. This full-time employment opportunity is based in the Herndon, Virginia area. Your responsibilities - Day to day payroll processing for 1200k+ employees nationwide and Canada - Must be proficient with ADP WorkForce Now - Strongly prefers ADP WorkForce Now implementation experience - Scan data entered by others in the payroll software to include, but not limited to salary/wage increases, benefit deductions, employee termination dates, and employee leaves of absence under FMLA or other unpaid leave - Regulate quarterly and year-end payroll reports - Prepare systems and protocols to direct the collection, calculation and entering of pay data - Support staff with fringe benefits, pay related issues, general questions related to payroll, PTO accruals, and wage deductions - Deal with voluntary deductions, as well as wage garnishments, pay levies, and other involuntary court-ordered payments in a timely manner, including reporting to the necessary authorities - Administer regular payroll reporting as required and assist with financial audits related to pay records and associated general ledger - Inquire fringe benefit reporting, pay practices related to FLSA, and other payroll areas to determine how those practices apply to advise management - Warrant timely processing of payroll in accordance with labor regulations and standard accounting principles - Follow current payroll tax requirements and relevant laws associated with the processing of employee wage data, including payroll taxes, employee federal and state income and social security taxes and other required reporting If you are interested in this position please submit a resume in word format to Leila Hermes at Robert Half at [Click Here to Email Your Resumé] or call Leila Hermes at Robert Half at 703-437-7723, or contact your recruiting manager if you are already working with Robert Half.
