What you get to do every single day - Exercise review and verification of source documents - Collect, calculate, and enter relevant data to maintain payroll records - Updating payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers - Handle payroll discrepancies through information collection and analysis - Calculate employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payments to establish payroll liabilities - Draft relevant year-end reports, as well as weekly, monthly, and quarterly ones, for department heads - Maintaining employee confidence and protecting payroll operations by keeping information confidential - Other duties as assigned - Supporting all internal and external audits related to payroll - Facilitate company compliance according to federal and state regulations and guidelines - Reconcile employee deductions and other liabilities as needed - Maintaining payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes - Handle all payroll information questions and requests - Compile all information in reference to summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages for reports

Requirements

- Exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills - Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required - Knowledgeable about internal controls - Meet and uphold Certified Payroll Professional criteria - Comprehensive knowledge of payroll - Expertise in ADP Financial Services - Understanding of basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen - Command of Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills - Understanding of federal and state payroll regulations and requirements - 3+ years of payroll experience - Earlier experience working with various types of accounting software desired - Experience with high volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc. If interested, please email your resume to [Click Here to Email Your Resumé] !
