Loan Processor

Compensation: $18.00 to $22.00 per hour

The Loan Processor completes complex duties required to process home equity loans to ensure accurate and complete documentation from application acceptance through loan closing. The Loan Processor is responsible for timely receipt of pre and post loan documents to ensure compliance with Bank policies as well as state and federal regulatory requirements. This is a very fast paced learning environment that will allow you to build your business knowledge and individual talents very quickly. You will also have room to grow at TCF as we promote from within whenever possible. Major Areas of Accountability Review applications and loan documents for completeness and accuracy ensuring compliance with policies and state and federal regulatory requirements. Includes monitoring of department reports, documenting status information through workflow, preparing disclosures and closing packages or Adverse Action Notices as needed. Manage imaging and indexing of loan documents from internal departments, third party vendors or external business partners such as title companies, brokers, and loan customers. Monitor lending production and/or processing staff?s adherence to regulatory compliance by reviewing loan documents, workflows, and audit results. Suggest training where needed. Communicate by phone, written or electronic communication with internal and external customers, (e.g. internal lending staff, title companies, third party vendors, business partners, loan customers, etc.) to accurately complete loan files within prescribed timeframes. Utilize internal publications and department communications in order to keep up-to-date with state, federal and regulatory and procedural policies. Assist management with maintaining department policy and procedural manuals. Ensure all funding conditions are met prior to wire funding authorization. Minimum Qualifications High school education or GED certification; Bachelor's degree preferred 2 or more years of experience in a mortgage or banking industry preferred Evidence of strong analytical, oral and written communication skills Demonstrate ability to operate independently and meet deadlines in time sensitive situations Working knowledge of Word and Excel or similar data programs in Windows environment Excellent organization and time management skills Proven ability to coordinate multiple tasks, prioritize workload and meet deadlines Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with customers, fellow employees or other in performing the duties assigned Knowledge of retail lending regulatory and procedural policy For consideration, please send your resume to [Click Here to Email Your Resumé] or call us at 320-240-0008.
