Loan Officer Jr - Boulder, CO

Description



The Loan Officer Jr - Boulder, CO will provide support to assigned Loan Officers by participating in activities, associated with loan prospecting, origination, processing, closing, and post-closing of residential mortgage loans. On-the-job training and mentoring provided to ultimately be promoted to a Loan Officer.

Responsibilities include:
  • Participate in all steps related to the origination of a mortgage loan
  • Order appraisals, title work, flood certifications, payoffs, purchase agreements and other necessary documents prior to processing
  • Pull credit reports
  • Process phone applications
  • Act as a liaison between processing/underwriting/closing and the loan officer group
  • Maintain a monthly list of projected closings and follow-up with processing/closing to ensure completion
  • Answer phones, filing and data entry
  • Maintain a database of leads, current and past customers, realtors and sales individuals
  • Prepare monthly mailers for distribution
  • Communicate with customers, providing them guidance and answering questions
  • Build and maintain relationships with referral sources, support staff and vendors
  • Perform daily office support functions to allow loan officers to pursue and network with additional referral sources
  • Participate in sales presentations and seminars to various local trade associates and civic organizations
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements:
  • Experience assisting a high producing mortgage loan officer and/or proven and progressive mortgage lending sales experience preferred
  • Knowledge of mortgage/underwriting guidelines, pricing, marketing and loan processes preferred
  • Ability to educate borrowers on loan products and processes
  • Excellent verbal and written customer service skills and establishing connections
  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office, loan origination systems)
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Successful NMLS registration is required (assistance obtaining Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license is provided)
