KYC QA Analyst

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Know Your Customer (KYC) Quality Assurance Analyst performs reviews of client onboarding Quality Control reviews for Apple Bank’s newly established business and consumer accounts and ad hoc requests. The incumbent in this role ensures that the Quality Control function has reviewed all client onboarding documentation and that it is complete, accurate and consistent with the Bank’s Customer Onboarding Procedures. The Quality Assurance Analyst performs the Quality Assurance reviews which is a comprehensive review of work performed by the Quality Control function. The Quality Assurance Analyst will interact with the KYC Analysts to ensure that all regulatory and firm requirements are met for both new and existing accounts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review all account documentation submitted for multiple types of newly established business and consumer accounts in a timely fashion. • Communicate necessary failures and deficiencies to KYC Quality Control Analysts so that documentation corrections or systems updates are conveyed to branches/analysts. • Communicate with Senior KYC QA Analyst the overall thematic trends arising from the Quality Assurance reviews. • Maintain accurate and complete files for all reviewed client documentation. • Possess relevant knowledge of appropriate BSA and OFAC laws and regulations. • Possess a solid understanding of KYC industry standards.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform Quality Assurance reviews for all account types opened as part of the Consumer Banking Group/braches. • Perform other related reviews as required. SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE • Bachelor’s degree required. • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a KYC capacity reviewing and completing full KYC files. • Must have banking experience with an understanding of BSA, AML and OFAC laws. • A successful candidate should be able to complete a KYC Quality Assurance review with minimal assistance required. • Candidates should have experience reviewing client files and independently be able to complete the review as well as possess the skillset to determine if there are any suspicious elements to the client and documentation. • Experience utilizing with MS Office suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) required.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

 • Strong communication, both written and verbal skills to interact clearly and concisely with branches, team members, and other departments. • Analytical, research, and problem-solving skills to properly assess any red flags that may be discovered during the review process. • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
