Robert Half Direct is partnering with a growing accounting professional services firm seeking a Risk Management Senior Associate to help clients solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. This position is a remote work-from-home opportunity and health benefits are offered by our client. Risk Management Senior Associates provide valuable insights in managing risk and improving business performance; participating in the execution of internal audits and IT control assessments as needed. They are expected to contribute to knowledge development by helping define and expand distinctive risk-based methodologies to support strategic decisions. The Risk Management Senior Associate will be involved in new hire training, coaching and Associate/Intern development and provide exceptional client service as a trusted business advisor. Responsibilities: • Assist in detailed testing risk-based procedures as well as preparation of reports and findings • Review and participate in risk assessments, governance and validation projects • Gather and analyze information, formulate and test hypotheses, develop and communicate recommendations • Conduct evaluation of client risk management governance, validation, testing and benchmarking • Visit client onsite for required audits and/or other projects; answer client calls and emails in a timely manner and with a solution-oriented approach • Produce quality service and work papers for the Manager to review with minimal corrections • Review issues and information using available technology tools and research engines • Read prior year reports and client website and actively seek out information from team members to gain understanding of client business and industry • Proactively inform engagement team of work status and request information from client as needed • Establish and ensure client deliverables and timetables are met within expectations • Identify and introduce other firm services based on client needs and discovered opportunities • Supervise Associates and Interns on engagements and provide guidance as needed • Participate in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities and maintain touchpoints throughout the year with existing clients • Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues • Participate in continuous learning activities and active research to improve and develop technical expertise; apply learned concepts • Collaborate with risk leadership to identify opportunities for efficiencies and proactive engagement management
