Financial Reporting Manager

Description

Manages the preparation of the consolidated monthly financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

Manages the timely and accurate quarterly and annual statutory reporting for subsidiary insurance entities.

Oversees responses to state and regulatory inquiries and reporting requirements.

Coordinates external audits


Serves as the primary finance contact for the triennial Department of Insurance examination.

Identifies and quantifies impact of new or proposed accounting regulations, pronouncements and other technical matters related to reporting.

Ensures key internal controls over financial reporting are in place and operating effectively, while implementing new controls as processes change. Maintain documentation to ensure compliance with corporate standards.

Prepares management commentary on monthly results to be presented to the executive team.

Collaborates with cross-functional management teams on various projects and initiatives.

Promotes a culture of personal and organizational growth through strategic planning and development.

Management of account reconciliation process and oversight of timely resolution of variances.

Oversees Powerpoint slides presenting key financial results, measurements and commentary.

Challenges staff members with career development and personal growth opportunities.
