Accountemps is looking for a dedicated Financial Analyst to join a fast-growing company. In this position, you will conduct financial modeling on various financial products as well as have responsibility for measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans. Additionally, you will advise management on the allocation of resources to properly complete objectives and prepare reports for management. You will be a part of a dynamic team being a key business partner in areas such as forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management. This Financial Analyst role, which is a short-term temporary-to-full-time employment opportunity, is based in the Falls Church, Virginia, area. We seek someone who has internal drive and strong potential for detail oriented growth and development.

Major responsibilities

- Candidate that feels comfortable working with large amounts of information and handling expectations

- Track monthly and quarterly performance through comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resources

- Research performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities

- Maintain weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting

- Work next to senior executives on long-term deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization

- Amass and monitor forecasting reports

- Manage monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required

- Perform extensive research on the underlying internal and external drivers that are affecting performance and trending

- Create effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and recommendation support

- Work closely with cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans

- Work closely with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process

Requirements

- Understanding of Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required

- Familiar with Spreadsheet and ERP system

- Ability to simplify complex problems and build solutions

- BA/BS degree in finance or a related field

- Able to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds

- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company

- Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

- Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience preferable)

- Financial reporting experience

- Financial reconciliation experience desired
