The Financial Analyst will manage financial modeling on various financial products as well as measure, analyze, and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans. Other daily assignments will include advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and preparing reports for management. This role via Robert Half Finance provides an exciting opportunity to perform in a business partner capacity in areas such as forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management with fellow colleagues. This Financial Analyst role is located in the Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and it is a full-time employment opportunity. Your responsibilities - Propel monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions necessary - Deliver effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide valuable foresight and decision support - This position requires a flexible individual who is adept at managing expectations and comfortable with handling large amounts of information - Track of monthly and quarterly performance by comparing actuals versus expectations to ensure business partners handle their resources r - Work with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization - Drive Area/Segment-level Bookings on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis, as well as P&L forecasting - Work with the Accounting team on monthly and quarterly financial close processes - Compile and monitor forecasting reports - Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to ensure plans are executed properly - Analyze performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities - Possess the know-how and be able to explain internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending

Requirements

- Spreadsheet and ERP system experience suggested - Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role) - Firm understanding of problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role) - Strong problem solving and analytical skills - Excellent verbal, written, and social skills - Able to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds - Skill with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required - BA/BS degree in finance or a related field - Financial planning & analysis - Solid understanding of variance analysis
