Financial Analyst

Description

We are currently seeking a skilled financial analyst to help support a new role for a local Aerospace company in the Raleigh area. Someone with 5+ years of financial analyst and cost accounting experience will be best suited for this role. This role offers competitive pay, PTO, health benefits, etc.

This role is a key member of the Finance team and is critical during the month-end financial close period to ensure all costs associated with programs are accrued and captured in the correct reporting period and applied to the appropriate programs. Analysis of costs and transactions recorded during month-end will be a key focus for this role.

Other responsibilities include:
* Accurate and timely adherence to month-end closing schedule, including completion of journal entries, reporting and completion of various deliverable
* Review and analyze customer and company-funded engineering costs against plan and against forecast * Review and analyze engineering absorption costs
* Completed month-end account balance reconciliations of engineering projects and other general ledger accounts
* Update and report on periodic KPI dashboards
* Review and respond to requests for creating and/or updating WBS projects to track costs for development programs
* Provide back-up standard cost creation for inventory materials in SAP Expectations:
* Solid work ethic
* Exhibits focus, commitment and cooperation
* Effective communication style, both verbal and written
* Self-starter with proven ability to work well across an organization and as a part of a collaborative team
* Proven ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
* Ability to drive cross-functional initiatives involving employees from varying disciplines within the organization at the site and through our central organization
* Ability to form and develop relationships with a wide variety of functional roles and organizational levels
* Ability to manage multiple and often complex projects and tasks with varying deadlines
* Flexibility; someone who is adaptive to frequent changes in priorities, organization and strategy, flexible to deadlines with short lead times
* Focus on continuous improvement, with attention to compliance requirements
* Confidence in communicating with senior levels of management and business partners in a clear and effective manner

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in related field
  • Financial analysis experience
  • Cost Accounting experience
  • SAP and/or Hyperion Financial Manger (HFM) software experience
  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • Experience in manufacturing industry
  • Excel proficiency: VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros, graphs/charts.etc
