The Financial Analyst will report to the Team Lead of Financial Analysis for the Private Equity (PE) and Real Assets Equity (RA) segments at Apollo. The Analyst will support all activities associated with analyzing, monitoring, and reporting on the portfolio and fund level of the PE and RE businesses.
Monitor, track and analyze performance at the Investment, portfolio and fund level. Includes fund modeling, track record creation, with a goal of maximizing investment performance at the portfolio and fund levels, while working closely with senior members of the US real estate business;
Work closely with investment team members and external parties to: i) track asset-level information; and, ii) identify opportunities to efficiently organize and present key data and trends;
Maintain the integrity of internal processes and databases used to track key performance and investment metrics at the investment, portfolio levels;
Prepare ongoing and ad hoc investor communication materials, including investor questionnaires, fund performance queries, presentations and reports, while collaborating with the FIrm's Marketing and Deal teams;
Custom Modeling for PE RA fund raising efforts including track record creation, waterfall model creation
Own and participate in PE and RA Outcomes Analysis process to produce investment level and fund level performance projections including base case, upside and downside cases;
Creating and maintaining Investment level attributes that enables analysis at various levels;
Quantitative analysis and model development for business planning and analysis including Management and carried interest projections;
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree from a top undergraduate institution;
2-4 years of experience in financial services / investment management/accounting with an understanding of Real Estate, Infrastructure and Private Equity Funds.
Excellent quantitative analytical and modeling skills with advanced knowledge of Excel, MS Access, Macros, Power Point.
Knowledge of performance measurements (e.g. IRR, TWR, ROE)
Highly organized, keen attention to detail, and able to effectively manage multiple processes simultaneously;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with various internal and external constituents;
