If you've always wanted to work at a fast-growing Defense Service company, Robert Half Finance is hiring outstanding candidates for a Financial Analyst position. In addition to measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans, you will conduct financial modeling on a variety of financial products in this Financial Analyst role. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing reports for management and advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives. In this role, you will serve as a key business partner in areas such as forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management. The Financial Analyst will primarily be responsible for supporting world class strategic and financial planning methods, building long-range operating plans to support business imperatives and developing rolling forecast processes to ensure resources every quarter are consumed at maximum effectiveness. On top of your primary responsibilities, you will also assist with operationalizing and cultivating a more data-driven planning process and improved monthly and quarterly reporting. In this role, you will be directly involved in the coordination of various planning cycles (annual planning, quarterly forecasts and monthly outlooks), while providing strategic analyses and recommendations. You will provide variance analysis of bookings, revenues and expenses, clearly explaining the business reasons for variances and adjusting the outlook models to reflect operational adjustments. The Financial Analyst role is a full-time employment opportunity in the Summerville, South Carolina. Responsibilities - Work closely with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close processes - The ideal candidate should be a highly flexible individual who is comfortable with large amounts of information and adept at managing expectations - Keep track of monthly and quarterly performance by comparing actuals versus expectations and enabling business partners to handle their resources - Analyze performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities - Work closely with cross functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans - Drive monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and if any actions are required - Explain and understand internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending - Compose and oversee forecasting reports - Deliver effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide valuable foresight and decision support - Drive Area/Segment-level Bookings on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis, as well as P&L forecasting - Work alongside senior executives on strategic deep dives to create financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, event tracking and execution, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, and strategic resource allocation, and prioritization

Requirements

- Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience recommended) - Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role) - 3+ years of experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role) - Financial auditing experience - Solid understanding of financial statement preparation - Adeptness in government contracts - Financial statements consolidation experience - Proficiency in Costpoint (Deltek) - Financial analysis experience required - BA/BS degree in finance or a related field - Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well - Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations - Strong problem-solving skills - Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is ideal, but not required - Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools experience a plus Email directly for more info – [Click Here to Email Your Resumé]
