Escrow Outsourcing Manager

Description



The Escrow Outsourcing Manager will oversee the loan servicing escrow teams and vendors to ensure delivery of excellent customer service to Colonial's customers. This position will focus on vendor oversight, performance and reconciliation to ensure compliance with company, federal, regulatory and investor guidelines. The manager will provide development, direction, support and guidance to staff in achievement of company and departmental goals. The Escrow Outsourcing Manager must have a strong understanding of Hazard Insurance, Flood Insurance, Property Taxes, Loss Draft processing along with MI/PMI disbursement and reconciliation functions Manage third party vendors



Responsibilities:
  • Daily reconciliation of vendor activity to system of record (LoanServ)
  • Updates and adherence to vendors Lender Manuals and BRD documents
  • Lead and develop associates by motivating, coaching, training, monitoring and evaluating performance
  • Administer policies and maintain procedures for Escrow Services to ensure compliance with various regulatory, investor, governmental and corporate requirements including specifically - know of the Biggert Waters Act
  • Insure adherence to all policies, guidelines, regulatory compliance, and investor compliance
  • Make recommendations for new hires, terminations, promotions, transfers, performance evaluations, training and development, and interpretation of rules and policies for department personnel
  • Develop departmental budget consistent with the strategic plan and overall budget
  • Accountable for responding to and resolving audit findings according to established procedures
  • Ensure necessary reports are prepared accurately and timely for management
  • Ensure departmental goals and objectives are clearly communicated to staff on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
  • Develop and implement initiatives that will increase efficiency while improving customer service
  • Provide superior service to our customers and internal staff
  • Act as an internal and external liaison between the appropriate departments/functions and investors to resolve issues
  • Various duties as assigned


Requirements:
  • 7+ years' experience in Escrow Services
  • 7+ years' experience in Loan Servicing
  • 5+ years' demonstrated experience, including interviewing, coaching, and developing staff
  • Knowledge of regulatory, investor, and compliance guidelines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented with advanced organizational to include planning work and staying on task, with excellent follow up skills
  • Strong analytical, decision making, and investigative skills
  • Ability to be self-directed and make independent decisions
  • Exceptional leadership and motivational skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skill
  • Ability to meet demanding deadlines
  • Ability to handle escalated issues and communicate directly with internal and external customers, peers and senior management
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
