Encompass LOS Administrator

Description



The Encompass Loan Origination System Administrator is responsible for the implementation of system updates and configuration changes. The role requires collaboration with departmental leads, system end-users and third-party partners to identify business-to-technology gaps and implement technical solutions into the LOS and interfacing technologies. This key position is responsible for the advanced analysis, configuration, customization, data integrity and maintenance of our LOS ecosystem tools.

Responsibilities include:
  • Administer the Encompass LOS to optimize technology workflows
  • Maintain current knowledge of Encompass ecosystem features and functionality, providing recommendations for improvements
  • Configure, maintain, and oversee the administration of the LOS including, but not limited to, customization and advanced coding business rules, custom input forms and fields, creating efficient workflows for users, customized reports, and other services
  • Serve as an escalation point for Encompass related support issues providing tier 3 production support within the Business Architecture team
  • Testing rules within the system to confirm business needs are met and report/resolve defects, errors, and configuration issues
  • Create and maintain documentation for all modifications and projects
  • Track and communicate progress, issues, risks, timeline impacts, and other relevant information to management and team
  • Manage user setup, roles and security, customization of objects, fields, record types, and page layouts
  • Monitor interfaces to integrated systems ensuring that all systems are operating as designed
  • Participates in the software testing process, which includes test plans, test cases, and appropriate testing environments
  • Implement configuration changes and customizations as required by the business stakeholders
  • Responsible for collaborating with management during release planning for software releases and patches (coordinating timing/environment planning, testing and distribution of software updates, release notes and training materials)
  • Collaborate with IT, ICE and other development partners in support of projects and operations to ensure an up-to-date and stable ecosystem
  • Proactively resolve issues with a strong sense of urgency and escalating as needed to mitigate risks
  • Track and communicate issues, risks and other relevant information to management
  • Identifies and resolves conflicting requirements with collaboration as applicable
  • Documents complex system workflows and business processes
  • Determine, document and communicate the impact of proposed system enhancements and changes to current business processes
  • Train and mentor other members of the team to improve overall knowledge of Encompass
  • Drive process improvement through tools and process
  • Collaborate with business partners to ensure alignment on priorities
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience working with Encompass Loan Origination System (LOS)
  • Previous experience in mortgage banking and an in-depth understanding of the mortgage industry, including the loan origination lifecycle
  • Encompass Administrator Certification preferred
  • Experience with end-user support
  • Strong attention to detail and highly analytical
  • Outstanding performance tuning and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to understand business goals, recognize client needs and link them to specific technical solutions
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate reports to ensure data integrity, derive patterns, trends, and etc.
  • Creative with strong analytical and critical thinking skills necessary to solve complex problems
  • An in-depth understanding of problem identification and resolution helps gather and analyze status on milestones, issues, and risk mitigation plans
  • Ability to maintain a high degree professionalism and is comfortable working with people from all departments, including managers and executives, in person, on the phone, through email, and via webinars
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently
  • Must be flexible and able to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
  • Able to prioritize work and adapt quickly to shifting priorities based on business needs
  • Clear, concise, and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Superior documentation skills
