Candidates looking to join a fast-growing company in the Commercial Bank industry will find a great opportunity in Accountemps's opening for a devoted Financial Analyst. You will manage financial modeling on a range of financial products as well as measure, analyze, and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans in this position. You will be charged with being responsible for advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and preparing reports for management. You will join a dynamic team as a key business partner in areas including forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management. This Financial Analyst role is a long-term temporary-to-full-time employment opportunity and is located in the Roanoke, Virginia, area. We seek someone who has internal drive and strong potential for detail oriented growth and development. Responsibilities - Power monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required - Support contacts in Accounting and Operations to execute business plans - Complete and direct forecasting reports - Assess potential risks and opportunities and research performance - Work with the Accounting group to lead the monthly and quarterly close process - This position would best fit a flexible individual who has experience managing expectations and feels comfortable working with a large amount of information - Understand and explain internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending - Contribute to weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P&L forecasting - Create effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and recommendation support - Monitor monthly and quarterly performance by comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resources effectively - Work next to senior executives on long-term deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization

Requirements

- Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds - Candidates with Spreadsheet and ERP system experience will be prioritized - Strong familiarity with chargebacks - Expertise in alternative dispute resolution - Solid understanding of Banking Industry - Go-to-market experience or experience - BA/BS degree in finance or a related field - Familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required - Practical knowledge in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role) - Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing - Creative problem solver who anticipates risks and opportunities and maintains a vision for continuous improvement
