Director of Group Optimization - Hilton Anatole

The Hilton Anatole Dallas spans across 45 lush acres, just north of downtown, is a Dallas icon in the vibrant design district. The property is looking for a Director of Group Optimization to join their amazing Team!


Requirements:

3+ Years experience in Revenue Management, Sales, and/or Events

Function Space Inventory management required within a hotel industry

BA/BS Bachelor's Degree Or Equivalent Work Experience

2 + Years of Management experience with the hotel industry


What Will I Be Doing?


The Director of Group Optimization will monitor public space demand and utilization to support measureable improvements in RevPASF and RevPAR. Coordinate and oversee GCRM(Group & Catering Revenue Management) related systems, data content, processes and initiatives to support rooms, public space and catering revenue strategies as developed by Revenue Management Committee. Specific duties include:



  • Prepare on-going analysis of function space usage and RevPASF productivity to enable Sales and Catering managers to easily book space and allow the hotel to capture more revenue by revising pricing guidelines and maximizing space utilization.

  • Approve any additional function space requested by booked groups more than two months prior to arrival date.

  • Perform daily, weekly, monthly and periodic audits and monitoring of events booked within sales system to ensure the hotel team is maximizing space utilization.

  • Perform daily, weekly, monthly and periodic audits to identify conflicts and double bookings to ensure the adequate space is protected for each group, without affecting the ability to book another group before or after.

  • Perform post event audit to ensure space usage and provide post event evaluation to hotel management team to assist future bookings.

  • Review contract agendas to ensure no additional space was added without approval.

  • Verify any unused space after group/event finish and make sure the booking reflect the true/clean space information in Delphi.

  • Participate in pre-planning meeting to understand the group history and program planned to maximize the space usage as well as improve revenue for the hotel.

  • Ensures that future group programs are obtained in a timely fashion per the terms of the sales agreement.

  • Coordinates with sales managers or event managers to manipulate existing bookings in order to move space insuring that the hotel is able to aggressively pursue high profit function space requests from catering managers or other sales managers.

  • Review files as they are turned over to Event team to ensure that all known information is loaded accurately into Delphi.

  • Review space rental revenues, booking trends and high/low demand period pricing.

  • Analyze meeting space usage identifying opportunities for space which is not committed and /or underutilized.

  • Communicate best practices of revenue management and sales systems to all users within the hotel.

  • Regular attendance and participation in related departmental meetings and contribute all analysis necessary to assist in making decisions related to public space.

  • Provide recommendations to improve effectiveness of processes.

  • Determine and publish free sell dates and holes for local catering.

  • Monitor RevPASF and function space occupancy trends.

  • Generate and provide accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc.

  • Submit required reports in a timely manner, ensuring delivery deadlines.

  • Ensure that Function Diary operates in accordance with the current hotel policy/procedure, including but not limited to daily space audits. Review and enforce Delphi standards.

  • Prepare weekly Lost Business Analysis specifically focused on defined holes or 'need' dates.

  • Assist in identifying leads that need to be removed from Delphi (i.e. past decision dates)

  • Identify groups with excessive 'Vertical' or 'Horizontal' space issues. Request space back from the responsible manager and track to the end result.

  • Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned or required.
