One of our top clients, a global investment-management firm is looking for a VP of IT/Technology Manager. This role will be managing 30+ people and will have all of the applications that role up to the CFO.



IT Group Description:

The Corporate Technology Services (CTS) organization is responsible for this clients end user technology, workplace technology and corporate systems. CTS is a face-to-face client focused organization that works closely with all IT counterparts, as well as the business to deliver enterprise wide products, services and support. Teams within CTS include End User Technology, the IT Service Desk, Service Delivery Management, Corporate Financial Systems, Corporate Systems, Audio Visual Services, IT Product Management and Technology User Experience. CTS is a global organization of 150+ members located across 15+ offices and reports to the Chief Technology Officer.



Corporate Financial Systems (CFS) provides project management, business analysis, system administration, software development, QA, and production support for this clients corporate financial functions globally including Corporate Controller's group (Corporate Accounting, Accounts Payable, Payroll, P2P), Financial Planning & Analysis, Assets Under Management (AUM)

Reporting, Client Billing, Advisor Compensation, Revenue Accounting & Reporting, Tax, Treasury and IT Finance. CFS manages internally developed applications and services, internally hosted third-party applications and externally hosted SAS solutions.

Responsibilities:

We are seeking a Nashville based Corporate Finance Technology Manager to join and lead our Corporate Financial Systems teams in Corporate Technology Services.

The Corporate Finance Technology Manager role will be responsible for the management, operation and direction of the Corporate Financial Systems technology teams. The individual will own and drive the relationship with the CFO and his senior management team supporting the delivery of business aligned technology initiatives. The role will also face off with technology executives, technology teams, and business teams across the organization, and manage the development of requirements, delivery of best practice solutions, integrations, reporting and general support services to the business. The role will also manage the various vendor relationships. The role will report to the Head of Corporate Technology Services and will have direct management responsibility of five teams consisting a mix of employees, consultants and third-party offshore resources.



The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
*Management, operation and direction of the Corporate Financial Systems technology teams
*Own, drive and maintain a strong relationship with the CFO, his senior management team and the Corporate Finance business areas.
*Manage, track, report on the department budget and operating expenses.
*In collaboration with the CFO and his senior management team determine strategic direction, planning, execution of all technology services for the Corporate Finance groups.
*Meet with senior business and technology management monthly to provide updates, discuss prioritization and strategic direction.
*Manage hiring or all staff and senior level individual contributors.
*Manage performance measurement and year end compensation process for all staff
*Set functional/group/department goals that are aligned with the corporate goals; regular reviews of the department team structures and effect organizational changes to ensure they meet the department and corporate goals.
*Mentor, coach and guide team leaders technically and professionally. Develop long-term resource plans, considering staff/offshore resources and development strategies, to meet long-term business needs.
*Manage offshore and other vendor relationships.
*Maintain strong focus on ensuring the effective integration of the department with other areas of the firm; interact with peers across all other technology teams from across the firm, collaborating on department level or wider firm level initiatives.
*Management and oversight of application architecture across all Corporate Finance applications/systems proprietary or vendor.
*Direct the integration of technology and process solutions across multiple teams and application groups within the department. Ensure key technical and implementation risks are understood and addressed.
*Leverage technical expertise and broad experience to provide guidance and direction to staff. Exercise judgment and influence on key technical decisions for a function or business.
*Maintain organizational structure that aligns with the needs of the business and mission of the firm.

Qualifications, Experience, Education
*Bachelor's Degree
*15+ years of experience leading technology teams, working with senior business leadership creating and maintaining strong partnerships
*Experience within the Financial Services industry strongly preferred
*Experience maintaining and managing business relationships to assess and predict needs, offer innovative solutions, and become a trusted technology partner
*Experience maintaining and managing vendor relationships
*Proven ability to work with multiple cross-functional teams including business users and other technology teams
*Proven track record in staff development, talent recruitment, mentoring/coaching team leaders
*Excellent prioritization ability along with strong focus on ensuring the effective integration of the department with other teams across the firm
*Experience in designing and leading application architecture and implementations of localized and enterprise wide solutions.
*Thorough knowledge of database design along with department wide solution implementations
*Experience with Corporate Financial systems a plus
*Experience with MS Azure or AWS a plus
