The leadership position is responsible for an accounting and clerical department. The Controller plans and directs all accounting operational functions, manages the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, analyzes accounting and internal control systems, and guides departmental staff. This full-time position is for a Controller who will work in the Pacheco, California region. What you get to do every day - Guide all operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll - Present executive committee and partners with monthly financial reports - Analyze, apply and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies - Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure that firm-wide operation is efficient and effective - Analyze deliverables of self and team to confirm they meet client expectations - Handle daily cash management and produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals - Time monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is punctual - Research, prepare and execute Finance Department initiatives such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as required - Manage the creation of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts - Complete month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, reconcile accounts, and handle G/L analysis - Act on items beyond formal job responsibilities

Requirements

- Skilled in analytical, quantitative and social skills - Progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred - Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued - BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field - Solid understanding of Controllership - Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) - Be detailed, flexible, and organized - Past work in technology, analytics and management experience highly valued - Vow to meet business deadlines - CPA/MBA preferred - Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities - Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity - Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations Send your resume to [Click Here to Email Your Resumé] for consideration. #EastBayRHFA
