Part Time Controller

Description

Are you looking to work for a growing company in the Greensboro, High Point, Winston Salem, NC area? If so, this role could be your next great opportunity. The Controller position reports directly to the VP of Operations. This position will be exposed to all facets of the business while overseeing the close and reporting of financial results. The ideal candidate must be a team player and possess the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, exciting environment. The selected candidate will closely partner with the senior management team. This includes the ongoing development and monitoring of procedures and systems designed to maximize the opportunity for growth, profitability and timely, accurate financial results.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for accounting and processes
  • Responsible for cash management, including monitoring cash balances and cash forecasts
  • Supervision and management of A/P and A/R
  • Oversee the financial position of the day-to-day operations
  • Implement operational best practices and compliance tied directly to monitoring and control systems
  • Maintains and prepares payroll, review payroll reports and prepare journal entries to record payroll and benefits allocations
  • Calculates, issues and reports on commission payments
  • Broad understanding of accounting principles
  • Reviews the monthly internal financial statements, provides management with timely reviews of the Company's financial status and progress, and participates in monthly and other periodic financial meetings with management


Requirements:

  • Four-year degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Five-plus years of accounting experience
  • Experience with QuickBooks is a plus
  • Positive attitude a must
  • Attention to detail and strong communication skills required
