Creative Financial Staffing (CFS) has partnered with Services Company to identify a Director of Accounting and Human Resources to join its team.



Overview of the Company:



•        Company: Our client is a $5M privately held Service Company that was established over 50 years ago. Their clients include many of the Fortune 500 Firms



•         Culture: Company boasts a close knit working environment and displays continuing track of longevity among its employees



•         Exposure: This is a key position within their Senior Management. Director of Accounting and Human Resources position reports directly to the President of the company



Overview of Director of Accounting and Human Resources position:


Accounting



•         General Accounting and Financial Management


o    Supervise the functions and activities of accounting staff


o    Prepare, review and issue month end financial reports in a timely and accurate manner


o    Prepare accounting records for CPA and assist them during routine reviews


o    Prepare 1099’s and other annual accounting reports and documentation


o    Perform “internal audit” of general accounting and financial records and investigate all discrepancies


o    Ensure proper tax reporting for payroll, sales and other taxes



•         Cash Management & Collections


o    Manage recording & posting of all daily cash receipts and payments


o    Maintain strict control of AR analysis and planning of AR receivables collections


o    Schedule vendor payments, fixed and recurring obligations, bank credit line usage, and other items for payment so as to maximize cash flow within vendor terms


o    Report as critical cash issues and recommended strategy to President


o    Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of account balances


o    Supervise efforts of Collections Clerk and ensure adequate staffing in this area



•         Financial Planning


o    Develop annual and interim financial forecasts and budgets for internal and external use


o    Conduct monthly Budget Variance Review to evaluate financial performance and take corrective action as required


Human Resources



•         General Human Resources


o    Carry out all functions of HR that are specified in company handbook


o    Be observant of changes in HR benefits/rules which may affect employees in other states


o    Oversee entire hiring process of all employees and maintain personnel files



•         Payroll


o    Act as company’s liaison with payroll processor, includes collection and transfer of all data required for the processing of payroll and the administration of all benefits plans


Miscellaneous


  • Meet with vendors and suppliers for the office

  • Serve as Director of company’s foundation

  • Serve as Clerk and Treasurer of the company’s corporation


Requirements

Background Preferred:


  •  At least 10 years of related experience in both Accounting and Human Resources

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from accredited institution

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

  •  A “service” attitude emphasizing that customer satisfaction is paramount

  • Excellent writing skills and appreciation for deadlines

  •  Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Preferred experience/or able to learn & use workflow systems

  •  Must be have leadership experience with strong communication skills in both individual and group interaction
