This position generally takes place in an office environment during regular business hours.


JOB DESCRIPTION


  • Assist the Sr. Risk Management Analyst with managing the claims programs

  • Handle queries from the general public

  • Provide good customer service

  • Input claims via Safety and Risk System (SRS), and assign to Third Party Administrator (TPA)

  • Respond to and submit Adjuster queries as it relates to the Authority Operational and Construction claims programs

  • Assist in the management of the subrogation program, specifically a it relates to auto and general liability claims; gather invoices and other documentation to send to the TPA and other responsible parties for assigned property claims

  • Work with vendors concerning claims administration

  • Limit review and evaluation of claim files

  • Work with the Office Assistant to manage and organize claim file inventory

  • Coordinate training sessions

  • Field customer claim calls

  • Assist with claims intake and emergency notification

  • Coordinate activities with the Occupational Safety and Health and other Departments, as needed




REQUIREMENTS


  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk or Business Management or related field form an accredited college or university

  • 1-3 years of relevant commercial insurance and/or professional risk management experience

  • RMIS/Claims Systems and other database familiarity

  • Microsoft Office proficiency

  • Good written and oral communication skills

Requirements

  • Coordinate risk functions and review risk reports

  • Reported risk events and potential risk areas

  • Establish effective risk management assessments and risk mitigation programs

  • Facilitate independent risk assessments and risk management process reviews

  • Oversee all aspects of enterprise risk, including balance sheet risk, credit risk, strategic risk, reputational risk, and different aspects of operational risk

  • Targeted risk assessments and material risk identification workshops

  • Preparing the agency risk profile to include risk tolerance and risk appetites

  • Identifying key risk indicators for the organization risk assessment

  • Identify and report on risk, including compliance risk

  • Produce a risk management plan

  • Maintain documentation for risk management and risk policies and procedures

  • Identify high risk areas through risk assessments and audit controls

  • Communicate risk management strategy to senior management

  • Innovate risk reporting (trending, risk analytics and metrics, risk indicators)

  • Administering the risk management function

  • Support the risk management function

  • Perform clinical risk management functions

  • Oversee the risk management program and develop a risk reporting system

  • Conducting risk management educational programs

  • Maintain the company's risk strategy, risk assessment process and annual risk treatment efforts
