Chief Financial Officer

Description

  • Manage all accounting functions including, financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, cost accounting, taxes, payroll
  • Safeguard assets by establishing, maintaining, and enforcing a system of internal controls including, operational policies, procedures, review, reconciliation, and audit
  • Maximize cash returns limiting risk through effective collections and payments process and increasing levels of investment balances
  • Maintain an organized record keeping system of all customer and vendor accounts, including, statements, transactions, and payments
  • Execute monthly/quarterly/annual closing procedures, preparing the appropriate financial and management reports.
  • Prepare and file monthly/quarterly/annual tax and regulatory filings
  • Provide management with advice on financial analyses, capital investments, pricing, significant costs, and benchmarks
  • Prepare annual financial statements and tax returns, organize work papers for external auditor review
  • Oversee customer order process ensuring systems are in place and functioning to process orders in an effective manner including policies, procedures, review, and equipment
  • Oversee purchasing ensuring systems, policies, procedures, and review are in place for effective inventory levels, pricing, and cash flow
  • Serve as primary contact for technology hardware and software, identify opportunities to enhance productivity through effective installation, use, and maintenance of technology
  • Manage human resources, executing new hire and termination processing, compliance with employer laws and regulations and maintaining employee policy and procedures manual
  • Manage and make recommendations on commercial insurance and group insurance policy renewals
  • Manage and maintain effective staff level by hiring, training, monitoring and appraising job results
  • Comply with federal, state, and local regulations and monitors for new or proposed legislation requirement advising management on needed action
