Business Process/Controls Analyst

Description



The Business Process and Controls Analyst will provide business units with visual illustrations outlining internal processes and procedures and will be a resource for business leaders to communicate procedures in a standard visual manner.

Graphs created will facilitate the understanding of performance collaborations with transactions between business units within servicing. This position will support business process management, technical users, business users, management, and investors by providing notation that is intuitive to business users yet able to represent complex semantics while utilizing business specific language.

Responsibilities

* Provide standard notation readily understandable by all business stakeholders
* Provide business units with visual illustrations outlining internal processes and procedures
* Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SME's) to create and revise departmental procedures through graphic flowcharts
* Become Subject Matter Expert (SME) for understanding and explaining all process maps
* Conduct policy and procedure testing within business units, documenting the processes reviewed, and assessing regulatory and investor compliance and effectiveness of internal controls
* Communicates with all levels within the organization as necessary to research and determine correct procedural documentation
* Identifies cross functional impacts and communicates needs as appropriate to peers and superiors
* Identifies partners and collaborates with individuals throughout the organization to gain consensus and approvals for procedural and strategic flowcharts
* Track, summarize, and categorize critical business processes
* Review technical documentation from business units, identify critical steps, and prioritize development of flowcharts
* Maintain effective and ongoing communication with technical writers, business leaders, and compliance team
* Work with Policy and Procedure/Technical Writers to create, review, revise and track policy and procedures through flowcharts
* Ensure standardization and consistency of documentation methods, style, and terminology
* Maintain all original documents, archive historic documents, and ensure all documents are kept up to date and disseminated appropriately
* Communicate with all departments throughout the documentation process to ensure they are abreast of any changes that might have an impact from creation through rollout
* Prepare and submit policy and procedures tracking reports for review and approval
* Track the review of draft policies & procedures regarding relevant initiatives with department leadership
* Ensure the incorporation of changes based on feedback and reference material

Requirements:

* 3+ years process mapping experience
* Microsoft SharePoint (2010 and 2013 preferred)
* Fiserv experience is preferred
* Experience with mortgage servicing and mortgage terminology is preferred
* Experience utilizing and editing with workflow tools
* Exceptional and thorough knowledge and experience with Visio (2010 and 2013 preferred)
* Ability to produce high-quality deliverables in a fast-paced, deadline-sensitive environment
* Must be able to effectively communicate and establish strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders of all levels of seniority or background
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Ability to interview subject matter experts to determine impact to policies and procedures as well as integrate information derived from interviews into meaningful policies and procedures
* Must be able to manage multiple responsibilities and projects with competing priorities and deadlines
* Ability to analyze companywide business requirements to determine impact to policies and procedures
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Advanced ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external
* Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail and the ability to effectively follow up on outstanding items
* Strong Microsoft Office skills required
