Benefits Manager ~Washington, D.C. Professional Services Firm $110,000, 401(k), plus bonus, free parking! My client is a large professional services firm located in the Washington, D.C. area with a need for an experienced Benefits Manager. The Benefits Manager will lead the administration and analyst of the corporate benefits program. The Benefits Manager will oversee the Department, managing a staff, and report to the VP of Human Resources. The Benefits Manager will be responsible for the following duties: -Administer company-wide employee benefits policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with corporate objectives and federal and state legal requirements. -Ensure firm compliance with provisions of governmental regulations including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA -Review and analyze changes to state and federal laws pertaining to benefits and reports necessary or suggested changes to management -Assist with the development of bargaining strategy and participate in bargaining process -Manage special projects including impacts on benefits resulting from acquisitions, legislation, collective bargaining, etc. -Administer approved new plans and changes by preparing announcement material, booklets, and other media for communicating new plans to employees -Revise and reissue all communications material regarding benefits when appropriate. -Manage Third Party Administrators and ensures contractual service and financial goals are met. -Work with broker and other subject matter expert where necessary in the design and structure of new benefit programs and conducts benefit meetings with outside vendors. Requirements
