A Health Plan in Long Beach is seeking a Retirement Plan Administrator. The Retirement Plan Administrator will support the Human Resources programs by administering employee and executive retirement plans including eligibility and enrollment, employee/employer contribution processing, annual audits, required notices, reporting and employee education. Duties include. • Be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the employee and executive retirement plans (403b, 401k, 457b, 457f and Money Purchase Plan). • Process incoming files from retirement service provider as well as outgoing payroll files to retirement services provider. • Update HRIS with contribution and loan changes from retirement service provider. • Work closely with Finance and Payroll to reconcile and report employer contributions for all retirement plans. • Gather retirement plan 5500 data and coordinate process with external auditors to finalize audit and file Form 5500 for ERISA Plans. • Prepare Retirement Oversight Committee materials and coordinate with external Investment Consultant for bi-annual Committee meetings. Document meeting minutes and execute Committee decisions. • Respond to employee questions and inquires relating to retirement plan participation. • Communicate payment options for employees on leave of absence that have either 403(b) or 401(k) or loan outstanding. Work with retirement plan service provider and employees to either suspend or continue loan repayments. • Ensure required distribution of Summary Annual Report (SAR), Annual Fee Disclosure Mailing, Summary Plan Descriptions (SPD) and Safe Harbor Notice. • Review and confirm Annual Required Minimum Distributions (Age 70 ½ distributions). • Comply with DOL and IRS regulations to maintain the retirement plan’s experience in status. • Respond to telephone inquiries regarding employment verifications. Process employment and salary verification requests after written authorization is obtained. • Assist employees who walk in to the department and cover the main HR number on assigned days and times. Requirements

Requirements • Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. • 5 years+ recent experience in Human Resources with emphasis on Retirement Plan Administration. • Knowledge of DOL, IRS and federal regulations related to Retirement Plan Administration. • Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Strong organizational skills; ability to multitask. • Ability to appropriately maintain confidentiality. • SHRIS / UltiPro; advanced Excel skills, including ability to create Pivot tables and use VLOOKUP functions. • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills is required.tirement Account (IRA), Benefits Administration
