Banking Credit Analyst

Compensation: $100,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year

The Credit Underwriter is responsible for conducting the highest quality analysis of the financial and qualitative risk factors associated with the most complex loans to new and existing customers. The position reports to the Senior Credit Officer and works cooperatively with the lending team. Responsibilities: - Responsible for analyzing the most complex new credit lending requests and preparing high quality loan approval proposals. - Monitors performance of existing portfolio loans and raises concerns to the lending team and Senior Credit Officer. - Works independently with limited supervision while adhering to strict deadlines. - Communicates directly with the lending team to discuss loan requests and offer structuring guidance. - Expertise in loan policy and contributes to loan reviews, stress testing, and other ad hoc requests. - Proven attention to detail requiring minimal supervision or guidance from the Senior Credit Officer. - Able to present recommendations and contribute to deal discussions with the Chief Credit Officer and executive approvers. - Actively participates in meetings with customers and is comfortable asking questions based on prior research, experience, and knowledge (may require travel at times). Requirements

- 4 year college degree; accounting major is preferred or relevant coursework. - 3-5 years community banking experience in addition to formal bank credit training. - Proven understanding of commercial credit underwriting process. - Experience underwriting complex C I loan requests. - Proven knowledge of commercial lending products and procedures. - Proficiency in citing and referencing loan policy. - Proven knowledge of financial statement analysis and credit risk analysis factors. - Excellent written and oral communication skills with proven attention to detail. - Knowledge of loan documentation and bank regulatory requirements.
